GLACIER EXPRESS

The Glacier Express is a famous Panoramic train operating in Swiss Alps on a narrow gauge railway.

Since 2003, the train is managed by RhB (Rhaetian Railway) and a newly established company, the MGB (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn), which arose from a merger between the BVZ (Brig–Visp–Zermatt Bahn) and FO (Furka Oberalp Bahn). Glacier Express is a tourist train and provides a low speed ride of 7½ hours in the fantastic scenario of the high mountains across the Oberalp Pass, at the highest point of 2.033 m in altitude, connecting railway stations of the two major resorts of St. Moritz and Zermatt.
